Default Supercharger gets hot. Car gets slow.

Anyone,
I have a 97 GT with a mostly stock 4.6 Block. PI heads that have been ported and polished. Single over head cam engine. Saleen Supercharger on top. Problem is, when the engine warms up the supercharger gets hot to the touch. And power drops off to nothing. Anybody with any coments will help. I do not know much about superchargers. And the car is also for sale.

How much boost are you running?
Is it charge cooled?
Sounds like an adiabatic efficiency problem.

I am not sure on how much boost. I have a guage but there is nowhere except on the intake side of the blower to hook it up. Where are they usually hooked up at? It does have a intercooler with two small fans. I put distilled water with some 40 below coolant in the system. While the car is warmed up and the supercharger is hot, the water is not even up to 100 degree's. I can open the coolant holder while it is running and watch the coolant flowing. What is an adiabatic efficiency?

That helps a lot for my understanding of a S/C. But do you think something could be wrong with my S/C? Is there something you would suggest?
