Let it warm up for 15-20 min. to get a little heat in the oil!

thats pushing your luck imo. how black is the oil when you drain it?

im a big fan of amsoil and their 12 or 15 month oil and filter stuff. i used to do an oil change once a year in my old taurus, but that was with amsoil and the special filter they make. even after a year the oil didnt look all black and nasty, looked like fresh oil.

i havent been using amsoil on the vette yet, not sure if i will. for now i just use mobil1 synthetic and usually a mobil1 filter. usually gets changed around 2500 miles
