NEED SUGGESTIONS!!! CONVERTIN V6 TO V8 AND AUTO TO STANDARD
HERE IS THE THING. I MANAGED TO GET AHOLD OF A '96 REALLY CHEAP. DECENT BODY, RUNNING. BUT LOOKIN TO MAKE IT A PRETTY BAD TOY... IM LOOKIN FOR A SLEEPER. SO IV ALREADY GOT A 5.0L TO PUT IN, BUT WHEN I DO, WOULD LOVE TO CONVERT TO STANDARD SHIFT TOO. THE PROB IS, I CANT FIND A TRANNY TO FIT UNDER THAT CAR, FOR A 5.0L ENGINE. SEE, IN 96 THEY QUIT MAKIN THE V8'S 5.0L, AND MADE EM 4.6L. SO WHETHER U KNO SOMETHIN IM NOT THINKIN BOUT, OR A PLACE I CAN LOOK, ID APPRECIATE IT. THANKS, AND GOD BLESS.

You will waste time and money swapping in a V8.
Either make the V6 fast or start with a GT.
Search around in the V6 section for more people saying the same thing.
For the cost of the swap, you could have had a more powerful V6.

you can do it but if your gonna use a 5.0 in an 98 your going to need the entire wiring for the 5.0 car, ecu, 94-95 k member, 5 speed for a 94-95 mustang, clutch pedals assembly , radiator, cooling fan, gauge cluster, some way to turn off the anti theft,all accessories alternator, water pump power steering pump, ect for the car, or go carb with a msd setup here is what i did 97 v6 to a 99 gt swap
