2000 Mustang GT Console Removal:
I have yet to see the instructions for removal of the console...

The necessary connections and screw removal...no problem...
...however to actually lift the console out it seems is not possible without lifting the brake handle nearly straight up...

So maybe the question should be how do I lift the brake handle up and out of the way to physically remove the console?

There is a nut on the front of brake handle braket that may be able to be loosened so I can angle the handle upward...
...suggestions welcome....

pull the handle as far as it will go up pretty much. After that lift the console up and towards the front of the car so that you can get past the handle.

...I can see it must go upward for removal of the console...
...but I pulled up pretty far lastnight and still couldnt pull far enough...

Maybe I was tired..Im headed out to pull till it breaks...
...I can defintely fix it with the console out of the way :lol

I got behind the console and pulled mightily, and quite agressively...
...to a 45 degreee angle... Thats it...
...but It was enough
