well just drove my 83 stang for first time after ..putting some more parts on it ,,i converted the power brakes to manual ..i cant stop it for shiit now i pulled hole shot in drive way and almost hit the fence...if a cant stop it from 20 mph to 0 in 30ft that sucks..i might as well run an 1/8 mile now cause i will need a 1/8 to stop it....[:@][:@]other than that car is running stronger than ever,,that speed demon carb made a difference..along with the rear anti rollbar...,,DONT CONVERT...IM PISSED..

Sounds like you need a larger master cylinder. Did you totally eliminate the booster? Keeping the booster in line without running vacuum to it will increase the braking effort. The other thing you could do is to use an accumulator with a check valve that will store vacuum for when you need it. You will probably still produce decent vacuum while decelerating so using an accumulator with a check valve could work pretty well unless you modulate that brake pedal a lot.
