Exclamation lumpy lopey camshaft noise the rowiest possible sbf

how do you make an engine lope the max possible?
mileage nor power matters here, please dont ask why...

-cam: narrow lsa (def not a wide lsa right?)
-cam: lots of duration, or is narrow lsa more important
-heads: smaller or larger heads? (more restrictive or better flowing all else being equal)
-displacement: less or more cubic inches (less right? 289 more lopey than 331 all else equal)
-other ideas

so would the best way to make lumpy idle: 289 with xe274 cam with tiny heads? mismatched sure but is this the ticket to a shaking car with stinky exhaust?

Easiest way to make a lumpy idle-take off a vacuum line! yeah i see morons doing this to make their car "cam"...

a narrow LSA will give it that "blurmp...(five seconds later)...blurmp" kinda lope.

My curiousity is killing me-WHY?

why? there are many people (not me!) that want sound before performance. My goals for my 2 notchbacks are
1)more gas miliage than stock
2)best combination of power with efficiency to make a fun bracket car

in building #1 I figured less CI = more MPG, so reused my 1967 crank and rods on a 5.0, then I tried to figure out what cam to use - it is here that I learned that the less cubic inches the more "rowdy" a cam would act/sound... I had gotten the holley systemax 1 kit: lower intake and a cam just like FMS "E" cam but with more lift...

LUN51026 110 lsa, 281 adv, 220@ .050, .512"
FMS E 110 lsa, 282 adv, 220@ .050, .498"

either of these cams would be quite lopey on my 289 HO esp the Lunati/Holley this got me to thinking: what other factors actually make an engine sound lopey?

It seems that SMALLER displacement, with TIGHTER LSA... and then Im not too sure; it seems that QUICKER ramps on the cam but not always MORE duration, however a TIGHTER LSA combined with other varaibles that net more OVERLAP would make for more lopeynesss, but I have heard BOTH a more restrictive head and a better flowing head will combine with the other points already mentioned to make it more lopey but IM NOT SURE on this point

Mostly I am curious but knowing about this will increase my knoweldge of engines. I ended up buying an ISKY cam that had one of the smallest overlap #'s I could find:

ISKY 371252 intake@0.50: 204 exhaust@0.50: 210
intake lift0.465 exhaust lift 0.48
intake adv: 252 exhaust adv:
257 112 LSA 30.5 Overlap

for comparision SD stock overlap = 36^
MAF stock overlap = 39^
1993 cobra overlap = 33.9^

You should post this in the 5.0L section.
