Anyone know location of Fuel Pump Relay on 2000 GT?
Hi, I'm new to the site but I've owned a mustang since my first car. I currently have a 2000 GT that is having a fuel problem.
I am a Sgt in the Marines and returned home from a two month trip to the east coast for work and now the car wont stay running. It started once for a minute or two then died when I tried to shift it into reverse and hasn't started since. The starter is cranking but the engine isn't turning over. I listened closer and realized that the fuel pumps aren't even priming when I turn the ignition to on.
Here's what I've ruled out so far:
1. Not the battery ( I have clamp disconnects and it was disconnected, I even had it tested/charged)
2. Fuel is good and level is around 1/3 of a tank.
3. Not the Inertia Switch in the trunk(I reset it manually and no difference)
4. Not the Mass Air Flow Sensor ( I have a cold air intake and I thought maybe the computer wasn't registering the MAF so I cleaned it with MAF electrical cleaner and reinstalled it)
5. No fuses are blown, especially number 14 in the power distribution box. To be safe I switched a couple of the same rated fuses into each others position but still no dice.
I'm trying not to have to tow it in and have someone else troubleshoot it, I'm in the military and moneys kind of hard to come by. I want to try as much as I can myself and I think I'm only left with checking the Fuel Pump Relay as a cheap option but I CANT FIND IT. I have spent hours looking for it under the hood and for anything I can find about it online. I know its not under the seat like the older models but If anyone knows, they'd be awesome. Thanks.

Did you check your schrader valve on the fuel rail to make sure you have fuel pressure. I 43 percent positive that the fuel pump relay is located inside the power distribution box under your hood.
