Exclamation non mustang related ...sorry.

a friend of mine has a 1994 ford explorer sport, its a 2 door standard tranny, 3.8 litre v6.

anyways the kid is 16 and just got the car, he wants to sell it. but he wants to add a few things onto it, the truck itself is in pretty damn good condition looks almost new and only has 40k miles. which i found freaking amazing.

anyways he wants to just put an exhaust on it. but i dont really know where to point him on that one.

i know this is a mustang forum, but i didnt feel like going to a ford car forum and sighning up on there only to ask the same question when i know there are plenty of people on here that can point me in the direction i need to go.

anyways if you could just tell me a good site where he could find an exhaust kit for it that would be great..

come on they make exhaust kits for a jeep, theyve got to make em for an explorer. lol.

thanks guys.

What does he want from the exhaust kit,, just make the Explorer sound better? Just swap out the factory muffler with a Magnaflow or Cherry Bomb

ExplorerExpress.com sells a lot of aftermarket stuff for those trucks.

A single Magnaflow will sound ok, but people try to make a V6 sound like a V8 and it just won't happen. They make different types of sound.

And are you sure it's a 3.8L? Should be a 4.0L V6 and could be OHV or SOHC depending on what level trim package it has.

I'd say just go to a muffler shop and have one welded in place of the stock.

if all he wants is sound id have to agree with ^^ replacing the muffler is all he needs to do. or he could always just...take of the exhaust completely....
