look at this plug, am i rich/lean?

this plug has a few thousand miles on it. im about to put in an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and i think because its white, im lean, right? just wanted to ask before i adjusted it.

also, i put the gauge on first and when the car was at temp, with vacuum off, it was at 41psi with the stock reg on there.....weird. what pressure should i go to? 43? more?

thanks guys

yes, lean. best way to figure out ur psi, etc would be a dyno tune

actually I think you are fine, you want alittle color on the plug not a black plug. The only problem I see is if you are trying to figure out if you are lean or rich at WOT. In order to figure that out you must put in new plugs, make a pass and then pull the plugs right away, once you drive around on the plugs it's kinda hard to tell whats going on.

yea you gotta run it at WOT and push in the clutch and kill the engine then coast to a stop and pull the plug.

well just to be on the safe side i raised the pressure to 42psi. id rather be rich then lean. as far as dyno tuning goes, i agree but im not going to get it tuned now, then do a cam in august and then tune it again. the dyno tune will have to wait for my e cam and new timing chain. i do not look forward to that install
