anyone done acip porting?

Never heard of it.
It sound like using acid to remove layers of head material versus cutting with a die grinder. It could be usefull but not nearly as accurate as a CNC machine and the results would'nt be as repeatable from cylinder to cylinder. There was a company a few years ago that did port work by forcing abrasive through the port.I can't remember the name now and I don't know if they are still in buisness or not.
I would avoid the acid procedure myself.A good CNC port job is the most consistent way to do the job and consistency is the best way to reliable HP.

Acid porting is highly specialized per app, most the time its done to achieve a lager port volume and pass race inspection while claiming the heads are "stock" - the acid porting doesn't jump out at you like a cnc or hand port would
