Have a noise resembling a high pitched whine which occurs only when the accelerator arm on the throttle body begins to engage (open) and then goes away. Cannot hear it while in the driver's seat but it is definitly coming from under the hood.

I popped the hood and by manually operating the throttle can isolate the sound as coming from area between the throttle body and firewall (nearest the steering column).

My thoughts are that it is caused by a leak in a vacumn or pressure line but cannot isolate it

Would appreciate any info or thoughts on the problem.
