Have 68 Stang convertible. Want to know how to remove dash or dash pad if dash can't be removed. Also need to know how to test heater blower motor (have already removed assembly; 3-speed switch, two wires coming from motor in engine compartment (yellow and brown). If you can help I sure would appreciate it. Thanks!

install convertible top hydraulic pump - How to?
Hi,
My name is Harvey and I'm new to the forum. I just picked up a 2001 GT Convert that had no top pump at all. The hoses look like they have been cut off with no connectors on the hose ends. I bought a new pump from Ford but the counter guys had no clue about connectors and the diagram that they had didn't specify what they might even look like. I have zero convert experience but have wanted one forever. Really enjoying the car but I can't enjoy it to its full potential here in Alaska because I can't raise the top by myself (too short) and when I leave the house with the top down, it's down for the day and the weather can change pretty rapidly here.
Can anyone help me identify what the connectors look like and how to install them?
I really appreciate any help that you might be able to provide,
thanks in advance,
Harv

I need advise as far as which route I should go.. I have a 2005 Ford Mustang GT (V8) with just over 60K miles (manual trans). A couple weeks ago, I started to hear a clanking sound in my engine. I brought it in for immediate expection. The mechanic opened up the top left side of the engine and discovered one of the bearings was grinded down (cam-shaft/lifter/rocker arm damaged) and recommended to replace the cam-shaft, all the rocker arms and all the lifters on both sides (both cam-shafts) to start fresh (rather than just one side of the engine.) He quoted me at $1900 for the job. He expressed that this is a rare problem to have for a car with low miles, and may have been do to the cam-shaft being lifted from racing or racing up the rpm's (I don't do either).
My questions:
1) What may have caused this?
2) Is this the right course of action for such a problem?
3) What are the chances of this happening again once fixed?
4) Is this worth fixing and keeping (I love this car), or is it wiser to trade it in at a dealership for a newer car or fix and sell it, then buy a newer car?
5) Has anyone had any similar issues?
Let me know...
Thank You,
Ben

I am replacing my a/c compressor in an 01 SVT any suggestions/manuals?
I have never done this before but it doesnt look that hard. I have an 01 SVT and I figured for and extra hundred bucks id replace the whole compressor. I am going to buy the Receiver/Drier, Accumulator, and Orifice tube also and have it vac'd and recharged by a professional. I like cold A/C! can I just let the pressure out before I get to work? then get it vac'd and recharged?
