What are the best HP gains for the 5.0 and cost?
Looking at a 95 5.0 mustang with 36,000 miles. white, vert, 5-sp.
what are the best bolt ons for the 5.0 for this year, as i've noticed some of the cams are different for the 94-95 motors due to vaccuum needs.
what are the best bolt ons for this motor, and i 'm not neccesarily talking intake, exhaust.
more along the lines of injectors, new intake manifold, cam, etc.
thanks.
whats a good price on this car btw.

the car could honostly be considered showroom condition.
it is white like i mentioned, and has absolutely zero nicks, hairline scratches, rock chips, anything. the front bumper is even spotless.
the only flaw is the vert top has a half inch tear in it by the rear window sail (the little 3/4 window). looks as if the window top was cutting into it.
other than that, there is not one speck on it. it looks as if it belongs in a showroom with a new window sticker on it. it's honostly that nice. i'm almost thinking it would be a shame to ruin it's originality.
btw, the car has zero body work on it.

$1000 huh?
Well, the biggest restriction in a 5.0 motor are the heads...
And you can get a good set of heads for a little over a $1000....
If I were in your shoes, I'd be real tempted to swap the heads. Be the biggest gain for the buck, or for the $1000 in this case.

i know that a grand isn't that much, but i dont need to dump a bunch of money into it. i'd basically just be looking at a little more power, nothing earth shattering.
as for the head work, i thnk i'd be better off having the stockers re-worked, rather than buy new. id be able to get as m uch, if not more power from the stockers over a new set of performance heads at a cheaper cost. dont you think?

Absolutely not.. With the technology these days, no stock ported heads are going to flow like a good aftermarket head would. Plus with aluminum heads you make the front of the car much lighter for better handling, or launching at the track.
But you can make a little more power off of porting the stockers..
