Default '94 V6- Few questions to see if worth buying

My neighbor is selling off their high mileage 1994 V6 Stang for $900.00. I was wondering if the V6 and the GT's had the same chassis in this era? Could I drop a 350 HP crate motor, 5 speed, and 9" rear into this V6 stang without worry to much about stiffing the frame? Will I run into emission problems for registering? Is this car not even worth purchaseing and doing the work to?

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Not worth it.
The amount of work, parts that you'll require will outweigh the joys.

Invest the money into that Roush of yours, and turn it into a speed machine

I'm very satisfied with my Roush. Actually I was seeing if this V6 mustang would be a good start of a project for my brother. Hes lookin for a Fox but for the price of this car I had to ask everyone if its worth it.

Tell him buy the car
do a split port swap
throw cam/springs/rockers in it
buy a twin/single turbo kit
make 450rwhp and run 11s
call it a day

*disclaimer*
will need fuel upgrades / 8.8 rear end

Do the V6 models need frame stiffing of any sorts to hold up to 350-400 hp?

Frame? Nope, they are the same as the GT.

You'll wanna do something about the open diff in the rear.
But if you are only shooting for 400 hp, so it out of the six and don't waste time/money on a swap.

If you choose the V8 swap, you'll have to remember to retain all the pollution control (means no carb stuff) and make sure you carry V8 insurance on it. If you don't tell them it's a V8 and they find out, it's insurance fraud, and you'll land in jail without passing go. Plus you aren't covered if you do hit something/someone.
