Talking need info on lowing my stang

ok i have a 96 gt, all stock except the 17 inch rims. i was wanting to know what all i need to lower it correctly. and any suggestions on what to buy and what not to buy.

Yea..bare minimum would be springs..but it would ride like crap with stock shocks and struts..so I'd say bare minimum would be springs,aftermarket shocks and struts..If you want to do it correctly then it would kinda depend on how much of a drop you want...But I would say springs with matched shocks and struts,new spring isolators,caster/camber plates,and an alignment.

Just get lowering springs. Dropping it more is a pain the a$$ and it causes rough ride, hits bumps, speed bumps become nightmares....

With a decent set of lowering springs it will have a nice stance, ride ok and give you want, it sounds to me, that you want. Nothing extreme just a better look and some stiffer handling....

yeah thats what i am after. i just want a better stance. do i need anything else to go with the springs. i want to make sure i don't have any alinment problems or steering issues.

the basics would be a set of springs, shocks/struts, and caster camber plates.

how much do you plan on lowering it?
