Looking for advise on exhaust systems
I am wanting to change the exhaust system on my 2007 Mustang GT, but I am not sure what I should do. I would like for it to be louder and increase my performance, if possible. Do I replace all of it or do i only need to replace a part of it? Any feedback would be very appreciated.

Replacing the whole thing is more likely to produce relatively significant power gains, it is only the exhaust afterall the air going in should be improved as well.
Replacing only the rear section will produce sound, and mild power gains if any at all.

If you are looking for just sound, then get an axle-back system. This is essentially just a muffler with some piping. It really wont help your HP gains, but will def change the tone of the exhaust. A full cat-back will do the same, but that is where you start to see the HP numbers pick up. I don't have any real numbers, but I would think you could pick up at least 10HP with a full catback. Maybe 2-3 with just a axleback. Sorry, more of a new edge guy so I don't know how well the 05+ responds to exhaust.
