Lightbulb Rear Brake Caliper Piston Tools: good and bad

On my son's 2003 Mustang, I tried using the "cube"-type tool to rotate the caliper pistons to no avail. The pistons were very hard to turn. So I went to Harbor Freight and bought their caliper tool kit #40732 for $20.00. It worked very well even though it still took a good effort to turn the pistons back in. They also sell a bigger kit for around $40.00 but the one I bought still had the correct adapter for our car. I have seen several posts recommending using a c-clamp for this procedure and I would not do it. The Harbor Freight kit is inexpensive and comes with several other adapters.

I ran across this issue that darn cube didn't work on my rear brakes either. They have a master kit that has the correct piece it cost around 100 bucks but it has the correct pieces. I just rented it they charged me for it and when I returned it they gave me my money back. ( Advanced auto ).
