1996 mustang starts then dies.
I have a 96 mustang 3.8, the anit theft light flashes quickly, have two keys and when I use either one the car will start and run for approx. 2-3 sec. then just shuts off. Is this a PATS problem? Any help would be appreciated.

yes, i am pretty sure it was.....i bought it like this because the person who owned it couldnt fix it, they went to a dealer (kinda shady) to get a new key and get it programed and they told him it needed a new wireing harness and pcm because the key wouldnt program, but i am pretty sure the pcm doesnt keep the codes for the keys on 96 and 97 models. When it starts it runs really well and it starts every time with no problem just wont stay running.
