I've got an 80' Cobra with a C4 and a B&M Ratchet Shifter. Everything was working great, but I left to the gas station the other day and when I went to put it from Drive to Park, it acted like it's locked right up.

For some reason, I still got the car to shut off and start back up, but I cannot shift any 'higher' then drive.. meaning I can't get it into Park, Neutral or Reverse.

Any idea's guys? I can post pictures a little later. The cable IS fine so I know it's in the actual shifter. It isn't even connected to anything anymore, and still won't go any further.

then u need a shifter assembly. shifters go bad all the time. just usually its trouble coming out of park. if the cables off and it cant go into neutral, its the shifter, unless theres something special about that particular shifter assy ive never seen before.
