You guys can always give good advice for my mustang, I thought I give it a try with the wife's car.

Under heavy/panic braking, the car stalls. I drove it the other night and can successfully kill the vehicle time after time. You get the typically christmas tree on the dash once it stalls, but then just turn the key and it starts back up.

To me, the way it stalls it sounds like the tranmission kick-down is forgetting what to do, then it kicks in and stalls. So after you come to a stop, the car kind of chugs, like it decided to shift to a different gear, then it stalls.

Any advice would help. tranny filter and fluid was changed about 20 k ago, but I'll do it again if you think that will help. the probably just started like a month ago.

IAC valve would be very possible although I'm sure there's gonna be a few people on here who will disagree.... its worth it to take it off and look to see if its black and dirty inside. Thats exactly what happened to me and a few others in the early stages before it went all the way out.
