Can anyone offer any advice? I have an 85 mustang with a 302. The motor was completely redone about 6 years ago and I don't drive the car at all until summer comes around. I have a Carter 600 cfm carb, Weiand intake, comp cam and msd6al ignition. No smog or cat equip. The car absolutely screams when I drive it, it idles good, never stalls, never bogs or misses under either slight or fast acceleration. But, the exhaust from the tailpipes absolutely stinks, bad. I've played with the idle and air screws on the carb but the smell doesn't go away and the car runs worse. The smell is like a semi-burnt fuel/sour coolant smell that will make your eyes water and burn. It gets into my clothes and the smell won't go away until I wash them. I see a faint whitish smoke when the car idles. It uses no coolant. Any suggestions?

Do u have any oil getting into the coolent? I see u say ur not using any coolent, but there could be oil getting into it. Maybe a headgasket starting to go....just an idea.

wouldnt that be because u arent running any cats? my truck smells cuz there are holes in the cat

my advice is too drive faster to outrun the smell
