Default How to use one remote key fob for all your Ford Cars (and others)

http://filear.com/index.php/other/48...s-entry-remote

Ford
1. Insert a key in the ignition and turn from OFF to ON eight times in rapid succession (within 10 seconds) with the eighth turn ending in the ON position.
2. The doors will lock/unlock to confirm that programming mode has been entered.
3. Within 20 seconds, program a remote transmitter by pressing any button on a transmitter. The doors will lock/unlock to confirm that the remote transmitter has been programmed. (If more than 20 seconds pass before pressing a remote transmitter button, the programming mode will exit and the procedure will have to be repeated.)
4. Repeat the previous step to program additional remote transmitters. The doors will lock/unlock to confirm that each remote transmitter has been programmed.
5. When you have completed programming the remote transmitters, turn th ignition to OFF or wait 20 seconds. Again the doors will lock/unlock to confirm programming has been completed.

I have tried this without success many times.

I have replaced the battery in the new Fob. The Fob's look alike, except there is a OFF/ON switch on the backside of the new one.

Yeah but *one fob* is only matched with *one car* at any time, right? The same fob won't work two cars at the same time(?)

Correct. I got the"New" [given to me] fob originally to have a extra for my '98 Mk VIII. I could not program it for the MK VIII.

I changed the battery in that fob to make sure it was good.

I have since tried to program that fob to the '07 Stang with no luck.

Very interesting. Speaking of these - I new new batteries in mine badly. It used to work from super far away but now I have to get within 10 yards of the car for it to work. If this multiple car trick is true then I'm going to go out to my brothers stang tonight and program my fob to his car too just cause I can :P
