Default Cold Air Intakes worth it on a GT?

There are tons of cold air intakes on ebay for around $50. Will they improve performance and sound over the stock filter?
I'd appreciate any comments from people who have bought and installed these "cheapies".
Thanks.
Ken

you won't get poop for gains. nothing you'll notice anyway. get it for the bling-bling factor. you'll get just as much "performance gain" from the cheap ebay ones as you would with a $150+ K&N or MAC or something.

Thank you. I'll probably save my $50 and put it toward springs.

I bought a cheapo off ebay and put it on my car. It actually stopped flowing at 5100rpms on the dyno. what a piece of just. please dont buy one. Ebay has saved me alot of money on mustang parts. but sometimes you just get what you pay for.
