I have a 73 mustang that i am trying to put a panasonic head unit into...can somebody describe to me what i have to do to make this work?...i can't figure out how to get the illumination to work cause there is not a wire to hook up the illumination wire from the head unit to....

Splice the illumination wire into the dash light wiring. That way if U dim the dash lights the radio light should dim too
