Default car dying in nuetral

I have a 2001 mustang gt 4.6l dohc 5spd the issue i am having is in nuetral and only in nuetral it will rev up and down and die majority of time it does not always do this but is getting worse engine hot or cold does not make a difference i was suspecting iac and replaced that did not change anything have also suspected vacuum leak but having hard time locating it if it is that wondering what your guys input is and what else it could be any suggestions will help i have no smoke machine and most places charge around 100$ to check so trying to avoid it but will do if that seems to be the most likely issue

Possibly MAF problem. Try cleaning it and see if it helps.
