I'm new! What are new headers gonna do?
 

hey guys i'm a newbie in the mustang world and want to work on the car and make it better/ faster more powerful. I was looking on a site which said headers were a good way to start. What type of difference are they going to make in my 94 5.0? you don't have to go terribly in depth but some basic pointers would help! Thanks guys!

1. They will help reduce backpressure by eliminateing the rough surfice found inside the stocvk headers
2. They will help reduce backpressure by increaseing the diameter of the pipes used
3. They will help increase the bling of your car cuz they are often shiny
4. They will help increase the pressence of your car because the exhaust tones are usually louder and meaner

sides of the engine. open your hood. DON NOT LOOK FOR THEM IF YOU HAVE DRIVEN THE CAR WITHIN THE LAST 2 HOURS. the are on the side of your car

No offense, but if U have to ask "where" the exhaust manifolds on a V8 car are found,, you might wanna stick to riding the bus instead ;)

Long tube headers produce more overall power increase than due shorty headers due to the increase length in the exhaust scavaging. You will have additional expenses with hook-up though as your exhaust has to be further modified to accept the collectors under the car at the end of the long tube headers. Not a big deal but some parts fit better than others, yadda, yadda, yadda. Shorty headers will give you the least amount of installation heartburn with your original factory exhaust connections.
