2001 Mustang GT Transmission

I have a 2001 Mustang GT with a T-450D transmission. Is there a difference between a T-45 and T-450D? I am trying to install a steeda tri-axe short throw shifter and don't know which one I should order.

t45OD have over drive? and t45 dosnt?
so there for the t45OD would be a little bit bigger and run better?

If you've a 2001 mustang gt with a manual transmission either it's a tremec T45 or a T3650, depending on if it's an early or late model. Never heard about a T45 vs T450d.

New 2001 Mustang GT

I have been looking for a convertible with a little power after getting rid of my 1975 MG Midget. I looked into the BMW, Porshe, Vette . Mini-Cooper, and a few others. I have never been a Ford guy until i sat in the 2001 Mustang. It is everything I could want in a car and more. The history, American made muscle, Room, a beautiful interior and POWER! I could not believe the sound of the engine as I test drove it off the lot. I bought it that day! It handles like it is on "rails" shifts smooth (manual 5 speed) and is tight. Great car for the price, i am now a believer!
