There are a few fbodies running low 10s, high 9s with a 3.8l v6. There is one guy running 8s in his, along with zzperformance vehicles (mainly fwd I believe) running 8s and 9s. So you clearly do not realize that some engines are more efficient than others,a long with the increase in USEABLE power.


If v8s were the only motors to make power, then why are american companies the only ones pushing v8 technology for the performance enthusiasts?

i agree with what you guys are saying with just building the v6. personally i would rather have a v8, just a personal thing. some poeple arent trying to just make the most horsepower for the least amount of money. it would be a cool swap to pull off and would be somewhat impressive. the swap that you are talking about is very do-able but only if you have the cash to do it.
