83 mustang 4cyl to 351w swap help
I dunno if this is the right place to ask this.
I have a 1993 f150 with a 351 windsor engine.
complete with edelbrock parts. heads, intake, cam, timing chain.
gears, and just recently had new headgaskets put on.
it is efi. i would like to keep that.
then i am soon buying a 83 mustang lx without engine or transmission.
I want to put this engine in the car.
I already know its a pain but can be done with time and patience.
I plan on swapping my ecu, my wires, my fuel pump.
get new lines, and whatever else i need for the swap.
I know hood clearance will be a problem with the edelbrock truck intake.
but could i actually get something on the hood to cover it.
and how far will it stick out?
what all do i need just to get the ecu running in an 83 mustang.
do i have to go all the way, or can i make short cuts?
