Hi.. I might be trading my cougar for a 97 3.8 Mustang, 126,000 miles. 5 years ago i had a 94 mustang with the 3.8 and i swore i would never buy another 3.8 liter the head gasket blew on it 3 times then after the 3rd head gasket it started to have lower end noise from getting hot soo many times. Well now this guy want to trade his 97 3.8. Does the 97 still have all the head gasket problems or was it just the 94 95's??? Or are all the 3.8's junk? My cougar is nice and i dont want engine probs with the 3.8 again. Pls give me some advice.. Thanks!!

94/95 had issues.
The 3.8L motor is a tank if you take care of it.
