Car wont start after installing new distributor, coil and spark plug wires
1966 Ford Mustang coupe 6cyl 200
I replaced the stock distributor, removed the points and installed a pertronix ignitor II, replaced coil with a flamethrower coil and replaced spark plug wires. The engine cranks but the car wont start.
I marked the body of the distributor and the direction the rotor was pointing so that I could put the new one in the same position of the old one. After replacing the distributor (without removing the points yet) the car started. I installed the pertronix ignitor II, replaced the coil and spark plug wires. Now it will only crank. How can I fix this?
Thanks

Are you getting any spark to the plugs? Not to state the obvious, but you can remove a plug wire, pull the casing back, and ground it a short distance from metal while cranking the car over (don't get shocked though).
