2000 Mustang Brake Job ?
Hello,
Going to put new brake pads and rotors my my 2000 Mustang Convertible. It's a V6. I was wondering if there was any harm to the ABS module with pushing the pistons in on the calipers? I've always just pushed in the pistons on other cars and I've never had a problem. But wanted to make sure.
Thanks

Shouldn't be a problem as long as there isn't any air in the system. I would probably bleed the brakes for two reasons after you finish working on the pads. One you can flush out all the old crud and two it will get rid of any trapped air in your system. Part of your brake maintenance is flushing your old fluid every 2 years...how many people actually do it?

If its not broke dont fix it!There is no problem with abs and pushing the pistons in.I wouldnt bother bleeding them unless you open a line or something it should be fine if its working now.I dont think Ive ever heard of anyone changing there brake fluid. But you could get some high performance brakes brake fluid,2000si once told me it adds to performance
