I just recently crashed my 03 mustang. It is almost considered totaled..and i wont be able to have a mustang agian but the mechanic is actually trying to fix it. The problem is the junk yard wants as much money for 03 parts as it costs for 05..so the mechanic doesnt think he can fix it now. Does Anyone know where i can find cheap 03 mustang parts 6 cyllinder as soon as possible..in the detroit area or around. I think it is engine..and important parts like that.

Have your mechanic or you can go to http://www.car-part.com/index.htm. You can search by Michigan, Midwest or the whole US. Most salvage yards are tied into this system.

I haven't had to buy too many junkyard parts recently,but the ones that I have were about 50% of the cost for new factory parts.This was for body,glass,and engine parts.I liked the good old days,you could walk into a junkyard and the guy at the counter would charge you what he thought you could afford.So you would drive the worst car and wear the filthiest clothes you could find.(In my case both were standard equipment)
