i dont understand why they would weld in your bracket..maybe it didnt fit right and was loose and was rattling? i dunno but like 99saleen said mine is bolted on, that bolt you showed just un-bolts one bolt on each side, then theres 2 bolts in the middle (if i remember right) and it came right off.

EDit* the stock bracket doesnt look welded on (unless i missed it)

I can get the trans crossmember off that is bolted on with the one bolt on each end and the two bolts in the middle the problem is the brackets on the subframe need to be moved back about 2inches . Here is anouther way to look at it. Pretend you are looking at the tran were the 4 shifter bolts are looking down at the 2 holes that are closer to the engine right below that is were the trans rubber mount is bolted on the 96 GT T-45. But on the Cobra t-45 the trans mount is bolted directly undernieth the back two bolts for the shifter. what the Hell was Ford thinking?
