16mpg city for my 02 GT.
If you are worried about gas, a mustang is gonna bug you as long as you own it. Of course there's always one guy who constantly claims 30mpg in his GT.

Yeah, i remember somebody saying there getting a high mpg in a gt.... must be getting pulled by a camper or something...I know mine drinks a 1/4 tank just to work and back (around 20 round trip). Of course im not driving 55 either

I figure if you actually get good mpg out of a GT, you're doing something wrong.

Well I was curious having never owned a Mustang. The car I have now gets rotten gas mileage. V6 Honda Accord with 247K on the clock. Its tired I guess.

I dont do much driving, live close to work and make a few gym trips a week. I might get a V8 Ill keep you all posted. Thanks for the replies.

my 95 3.8 gets 25-27 mpg. manual tranny. k&n filter and flowmaster exhaust help out a bit.

I average about 245 miles per fill-up (~13.5 gallons), so like 18 mpg. I fill up once a week.

I get an honest 32.4 mpg on a two lane 55mph road with few hills.I drive this road five or six days a week.I admit this is driving like a grandma and slowing down to catch the few stoplights green.The biggest thing that increased my mileage was a Steeda timing adjuster set at 13 btc.(+2mpg)I also run 87 octane,there's no advantage to running anythig higher unless you advance the timing beyond 13*or use a power adder.Keep your tires properly inflated,your foot out of the bellhousing and you can get this kind of mileage also.One hard takeoff and my mileage goes down 1mpg per tank per occurence.So you can see that several of these hard launches will kill your mileage overall.I had a Lincoln MK VIII with the trip computer and it said that my instant mileage went to 4 mpg as long as I had the gas floored.

I always wonder why you guys ask about gas milage when your driving a stang??I dont think I ever even thought about it before.Stangs are for burning gas not saving itIf you wanted good gas gas milage you should buy a 2000si

I just got back from St. Louis, and over a 2 hour drive I got right at 20 MPG. I figure that is pretty good with the cams and whatnot.
