Got SCT tuner - very frustrated
Spent a lot of money to buy SCT tuner for my almost stock Mustang. Loaded 91-Race tune - can't feel any difference.
I spent about 1 hour driving on highway and accelerating from 0-80 on every exit going back and fourth between stock and race tune - no difference.
(((
P.S. Yes, I know that tuner is not that great unless u do some heavy mods, but I read a lot of reviews posted here about people being so happy about their tunes. It seems like just a scam.
If I won't be able to return it I would go to dyno and post Dyno charts here.

I have K&N CAI already, aftermarket pulleys, high flow catalytic converters and ford racing exhaust. But none of that would make a noticable difference compare to long tube headers (which I don't have).
I work for automotive company and as far as know V8 engines are not sensitive to different air cleaner systems. However 4 cylinder engines would tune all the way to the inlet snorkel

What Tunes?
What tune did you purchase with the SCT? I had a free one from American Muscle and it required the numbers off of one of the components from under the hood. With the tuner you can do other mods but you had better know what you are changing and what the effects are. I'm using the free tune with shift pressures all the way up, no top speed, and no tcs. I find that the take offs are a bit quicker as well as overall acceleration. If you look on the forums and do a search for SCT or Tunes, you should find what others are doing in the realm of tunes. Brenspeed comes to mind for some reason. Granted I have a V6 so I don't expect a lot from just a tuner, but my car seems just a little faster. Oh the reason I bought the tuner was to get rid of the accelerator pedal lag, which I believe it has done.

I got Bama custom tunes for 87 octane, 91 perfomance and 91 race. (my car is manual)
I called the Dyno guy today and I am going to post the graphs here.
I know I could use it in the feature if I ever decide to cam it, supercharge it an etc. But I am not looking for any "heavy" performance mods in near future.

I'm slowly working my way towards the NTO project car. I've done the suspension upgrade, front facia and next will be the exhaust. Wheels, brakes and tires after that and then the expensive stuff. Car's not paid for yet so I have to go slow on the mods and had planned the facia and grille after the exhaust but I backed into it with my Bronco and chipped a spot of paint off the bumper so I had to replace it early.
On the SCT, I went through and made a Excel Spreadsheet of all the user adjustable features but that may just be for my particular tune and for my computer. Wish I had the software to create custom tunes, $75 a pop is expensive.
