Well, I'm looking for someone treustworthy and who knows what they are doing when it comes to mustangs. I'm going to be doing a lot of changes in the near future (control arms, dubframe connectors, springs, shocks, bishings, exhaust, 5 lug conversion) just to start. And I also have a couple of things I need answered about my engine. Sometimes (especially when the car has been sitting for a few hours in -50 degree weather, I have to turn the engine over for longer than the normal 1-2 seconds.

Sorry i've had a few tonight....... What I meant was especially 60 degrees or below. It will still do it at higher temperatures but happens more when its colder. It also USED to hesitate slightly when it was still cold and I gave it a descent amount of gas but once it warmed up everything was fine. It's just the weird startup nowadays.

First off, having a slightly longer start time when it's very cold is normal, but we're only talking about an extra second or so. Usually, it's the result of temperature affecting the battery OR more resistance while cranking the engine (cold oil even with multiviscosities). Hesitation from the engine, once it's running is another issue.

Secondly, I am a mechanic and Mustang owner. I have a very small automotive customization and repair business that I started after leaving Ford. Just let me know if you need some work done- my rates are fair and work can usually be done in stages.

I am about 1 hour north of Los Angeles, but can travel to your place (if the work is small enough).

Please pm me your info like address and number. I don't have a problem with driving out there. Having a mechanic come to me sounds a but expensive.
