Tire alignment? car goes straight, steering wheel to the right
Hey everybody, had my car for awhile and was wondering why my wheel is slightly to the right when going straight? The car will go straight when I let go of the wheel but it naturally just sits a little to the right. Should I go in for an alignment? I don't see any improper wear and it stays at speed for a long time after letting off the gas. I ask because I am going to sell the car and that is something that I will need to have fixed!

When the car was aligned last they probably didnt have the wheel straight, or it was an inexperienced guy. Also something may be bent in the suspension or frame causing the front to compensate for this issue. Other than the wheel being slightly off the alignment in general is good. Unless the wheel is obviously turned from center I wouldnt worry about it.

If the steering wheel is positioned to the right (or left) when the toe-in is set, it will also be positioned that same way when you drive the car straight ahead. I'd have an alighment done - other settings (caster, camber) could be off too.
