Question 67 Parts on 68 Cars?

Was it common practice at FOMOCO to put 67 parts on 68 cars? My heater switch and blower motor seem to have 67 part numbers, which might explain why it's so difficult to find a 68 resistor.

By part numbers, the heater motor is a 65, and the switch assembly is a 68. So, I'm ASSuming that a 65-67 resistor would work?????

They were mostly the same car. Why manufacture different heaters every year? Call Glazier Nolan at Glazier's Mustang Barn, he'll know.
