Default Remote Control Starter

I'm a novice when it comes to cars but I was planning to have a remote car start installed in my Mustang. Though I'm a novice I was hoping to do it myself if possible. I have a 2009 ford mustang. I was also curious about the chip in the key that allows that key to start the car and if that would cause any issues regarding the remote car starter?

If '09 is anything like my '02 your car has the PATS ignition disable security feature.. you have to bypass that in order to let a remote starter work. I think there is a bypass module you can buy that does that..

Keep in mind you're making your car easier to steal now..
