I had the same problem with my 07 gt. The battery and everything worked but once i got it started the electrical system wouldn't work. Not sure if you had this problem or not, but the problem may be the alternator. I replaced it and no problems since. I hope this helps.

How long is a 'while'? Could it be the gas has gone bad? You SHOULD be able to hear the fuel pump though.

When was the last time you changed the fuel filter?

I would check and see if you are getting fuel. Could be the fuel pump went bad.

Have a friend turn the ignition to the on position while you have your ear near the fuel tank area. You should be able to hear the fuel pump energize. You may want to change the fuel filter anyway just in case it was never replaced.
