Default Ford Mustang Buying and Winter

Hey all right now I have a 62,000 mile 05 Mustang offering at $11,200 is this a good deal? I said I would like it in a $10,500 to $11,000 price range isn't that a really good deal for a clean report car?

the only problem is 3 months of the year there is snow

Would it be alright slapping winter blizzaks on all 4 and putting a few buckets of kitty litter in the back trunk?

If you barely accerlate the pedal and ease into the brake how is it then with these conditions?

Is this also a really good deal for a Stang with the mileage and year?

Well if you figure years and years ago every car was RWD, and people drove in snow. However, cars are lighter now, so you're bound to have a few more issues out in snow, but it's not impossible. I personally know a few people that DD their Mustangs all winter long, and with a set of winter tires, some extra weight in the trunk, and careful driving, they've been just fine. I myself even drove my first ever Mustang home in the snow years ago (a 40 mile drive), and didn't have one problem, not even up hill.

that is true, and it does have tcs too I believe

I could always practice in a parking lot too for control but what are you supposed to do if lets say you start driving to the left into oncoming traffic. Are you suppose to ease off the accerlator and turn the opposite direction (right) for this instance?

Yes. Anytime I start heading in a direction I don't want to go, I let off the gas and steer in the direction I want to go. Once the tires "grab", I'll gently correct it to go straight again. Same thing happens when you try to drive too fast in heavy rain, lol.

I drove Mustangs year round in North Dakota and Minnesota.
I'm sure you'll be fine with a few weeks of snow in CA.
