Instrument cluster glass won't come clean!
 

Hi guys!

I just bought a 1998 V6 Mustang. Anyways, the "plastic" Instrument cluster glass looked really dirty and you could see all the scratches so I thought it might be from the inside of the glass. I cleaned the outside of the glass with glass cleaner but it still looks dirty and scratched up. I just installed new gauge faces and I was able to clean the inside but it still looks really dirty and scratchy.

Does anyone else have this problem? Maybe I should use a different glass cleaner? Any suggestions would be helpful!

Most likely the plastic (not glass) is scratched and your going to need some plastic polish or rubbing compound to get the scratches out. Good luck.

I had the same problem. I replaced the lens a few months back. I Bought it through ford, it was somewhere around 30 bucks.

I think just replacing the glass might be a good option.
