Default Service Engine soon Light/ Brakes

So as soon as i put the key into ignition, all the warning lights(obviously) turn on. After a few seconds, they all dissapear but the Service Engine Soon light and the Red Color Battery light.

When i start the car, they go away too. No lights come on.

Also, Whenever i push the brakes all the way down(just to test it), it makes a squeaky sound.

Any suggestions? I have an 03 V6 3.8L Mustang.

sounds like your ignition is going out. Is the brake sound comming from the pedal or something outside the car.

Take it to your local auto parts store and have them read the Check Engine light codes. Get the exact codes. Then search around online for what the code means for a Ford Mustang (different manufacturers have different but sometimes similar meanings for each code).

While your at the auto parts store, get them to check the battery and alternator while your at it. Most will do it for free.

Good luck...

I have an 05. Once in a while my pedal makes a squeaking sound. Actually more like a squishing sound. Happens once in a while. Some days no noise and some days very noticeable. The brakes are fully operational and I am not sure whats causing it. Wonder if its similar to what you are experiencing with your pedal?
