Ticking sound on my 2007 s/c GT... (video)
So I got this clean 2007 GT with a NOVI 2200SL supercharger for a steal, too good to be true... well maybe it is. The sound is difficult to hear while in the car because the previous owner conveniently made the exhaust straight thru and dump onto the ground before the real axle = LOUD inside cabin.
Welp... here's the video. I first thought it was one of the belts but it sounds like it is inside of the motor. I dont think it sounds like the injectors either, maybe i'm wrong. Sounds like its in upper part of motor is I had to guess. Also sounds like the repetitions are a bit faster than a week ago. I read if the interval is really quick it will be upper part, pistons, lifters, cams, etc. If its slower (like this) it may be a rod or bearing
I got a 2 year dealer warranty, and the car was such a good deal that even if its out of service for a month it will be worth it in the end. Only headache will be dealing with how am I going to get a lightly built up motor to accommodate 10 psi.... and if they will cover the re-install of the s/c (probably wont want to)
