I need to get my convertible top up on my 03 GT but the motor is dead and I can't get a new motor until Monday when the dealership parts dept opens. Auto Zone said it's a dealer only part

Is there a way I can get the top up manually without replacing the motor??? When I try to pull it up it stops before I can pull it up.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

i think the only way you would be able to manually lift it up would be to unbolt the hydraulic lift cylinders from the top. that is probably what is stopping the top when you try to lift it.
