Electrical Problems
 

Any suggestions for my electrical problems? Turn signals don't work. Got a used multi-switch (signals and wipers) wipers work now but turn signals still don't work. Also while driving down the street going straight not turning the wipers for no reason will cycle one time like they are on a delay or something. As for the signals I will tell you what I've done so far, new bulbs, used switch as mentioned above and I bought a new flasher fuse. But when I went to install it, it wouldn't stay in the fuse box. It was like there was no terminals in the fuse box to hold on to the leads of the fuse. Then I got think hey the emergency flashers are working so what's up with that! I unbolted the fuse box and pulled it down adn on the back of it was a flasher fuse. Is this normal? Or has it been rigged up somehow? Also the wipers will cycle once when I start the car up. The car is an 87 LX with an 88-93 5.0 in it.

The new flasher fuse not staying in tells me that the fuse box may have burned connectors.This could cause an intermittent connection inside the fuse panel and could be causing the delay wipers to funtion without the switch being activated.Look into the suspect connections and see if there's evidence of overheating such as charring or distortion.The switch can be checked for continuity in each of it's positions with an ohm meter.The invisible electrical gremlins are loose again[:@][:'(][:o][>:]
