I saw some tint jobs and they don't seem to put tint on the entire rear windshield, they leave out the part that has the "dots", about 4 inches. Do you have a tint job that covers those dots and how much did you pay for it?

Tint doesnt stick to the dots, so they used elmers glue to hold it up, where the dots are the tint is lighter because the tint doesnt stick to the dots. I will get a close up tomorrow when It is light outside.

also, where you see the light border around the window, that can give you an idea of how much brighter it is up at the top.

most places will put a solid black strip over the dots instead of tint (I think it's vinyl, not sure) and it looks waaaaay better than just tint film. I'm pretty sure this is standard practice and if the place doesn't tell you that they will do it this way, they may not be very good at tint jobs. just film on the dots looks like shiat. the black vinyl makes it look professional.
