Default power window switch solution.

Not sure if this has been covered before or not but after awhile the power window switches quit working in my 2001 gt. Being the investigated I am I cracked em open to see why. What I saw was a black build up at the contact points. Looked as if they were burnt up. The solution is to sand the for want of a better word "carbon" off with a really small piece of fine grit sand paper. For me rolling the windows down wasn't so much the problem. Getting them back up was. I don't suppose that if raining and you crack the window that water seems to fall right where it can run into the switches helps either. That's what I did and its working fine so far. The switches are rather easy to pop open with a flat head screwdriver. Hope the helps some of you folks out.
