Default door lock cylinder retainer clip replacement...

My driver door lock cylinder seems to be falling away from the door (@ the bottom of the key ring)...make me think it's just the retainer clip...

Can anyone tell me if I can simply pull out the retainer clip & re-insert a new clip without pulling off the door panels?

Thanks in advance!

I'm experiencing the same issue on my 1966 mustang. Any tips? How were you able to do it without having to take apart the door panel?

I pulled out the old one with needle nose pliers...pushed in the lock cylinder so the new c-clip would engage...1 hail mary...pushed with pliers & it went in. Since then though I had to get into the door panels anyway (for the window regulators)...My suggestion, get the tool to pop the door panels off & some new pins (LateModel is where I got mine). Someday you will need to remove the panels...There is a lot of clean-up/maintenance & restoration stuff to do in the panels. You can probably get all that stuff @ the local auto parts store too.
